We visited St Croix State Park while we were camping in Hinkley. This park has 33,000 acres of land. This is Minnesotas largest state parks. You could easily spend a ton of time here. They have mutltiple hiking paths long and short depending on what you are going for. We travel with our kids so short and sweet hiking is what we look for. We were able to drive our truck around park get out and explore then move on to the next location. This park has a nature center right by their campground. Just down from there is a boat launch and a place you can rent canoes. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/park.html?id=spk00253#homepage
